We were at Jake O'Connors last night for a company party. Fantastic food, great beer selection.  The staff was excellent.  And at 9:00 The Wild Colonial Bhoys kicked off thier lively Irish music, and it was an excellent evening.  We drove from Stillwater, about an hour each way... it was worth it, and we're already making plans to return soon!  We'd love to see the whole WCB band next time!

I've been to Jake O'Connor's three times and each visit has been outstanding. The staff is always welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and the food is fantastic. I look forward to my next visit...I'll try to order something new from the menu...but it's very difficult not to go with Shepherd's Pie...superb!

I recently encountered a superb dining experience.  I attended Jake O'Connor's for dinner with my wife and 10 month old baby girl.  I must say that I had the most hospitable experience.  The staff was very accommodating to the baby.  First of all, Jason (the manager on-staff) held our baby while my wife situated herself.  Our server brought the baby sliced cucumbers and a small bowl of mash potatoes and butter.  This kept her busy and allowed us to enjoy our dinner.  We experienced first class service the entire evening and felt as though we were at a 5 star restaurant.  We observed Jason walking arm-to-arm with a woman (sr. citizen) and holder her "walker" in his other hand, escorting her and family to their table.  It's very rare that you see this type of personal attention.  This is the type of establishment that will be in business for more than one lifetime!
